Benefits of Massage

 Experts estimate that ninety percent of disease is stress related. And perhaps nothing ages us faster, internally and externally, than high stress. Massage lowers blood pressure, Releases stress, Improves join mobility and flexibility, Strengthens the immune system, Relieves pain, increases blood circulation and lymph flow.

When should I not receive a massage? If you have a fever it is better to postpone your massage until temperature is normal. 

Do I need to fully disrobe for my session? Your comfort on the table is utmost important and if leaving your underwear on helps you feel secure, then leave it on! You will be draped with a sheet throughout the session and only the body part being worked on is exposed.

Massage Therapy

Swedish Massage: 

Therapist will use a variety of techniques with a light to medium pressure, helping to relax muscles, release tension and stimulate blood flow and the lymphatic system.

Cupping: Is used to treat pain, ease scar tissue deep within muscles and connective tissues, reduce swelling and muscle knots, cupping is supposed to minimize circulating toxins by drawing them into the skin where they are more easily removed.

IASTM ; Mobilize muscles, tendons, and ligaments to decrease pain, improve mobility, stimulate rehabilitation and recovery. assist in detecting scar tissue, soft tissue restriction, adhesions or chronic inflammation.

Deep Tissue Massage: 

Highly Therapeutic Massage, uses deeper pressure to release chronic patterns of muscular tension. Overworked muscles, a stress filled job, or athletes can benefit from Deep Tissue Massage.

Medical Massage: 

In a medical massage, specific areas are targeted (low back pain – hip flexors, shoulder pain pectoralis). This type of massage can sometimes be uncomfortable as the goal is to relax the muscles and sometimes the therapist will use deep pressure to achieve the results. The discomfort usually dissipates after the massage.

Hot BambooTherapy: 

The therapist can easily palpate, find tension, and dissolve knots and trigger points with the bamboo sticks. They are used to knead and stretch fascia in all directions. The massage can go as light or as deep as necessary.

Eldersage Therapy: 

Helps maintain and improve the well being for the aging. Relieves pain, anxiety and provides comfort. 

Reflexology: 

Reflexology is the physical act of applying pressure and massage to the feet with thumb, finger and hand techniques. It is based on a system of zones and reflex areas that mirror and image of the body on the feet.

Ashi-Thai is an expression of traditional Thai massage techniques and exercises, where the therapist maneuvers your limbs into deep relaxing stretches. Compression of muscle tissue is applied throughout the session, helping to release spasm, muscle contraction and tension, always working within your perfect range of pressure. Imagine taking a nap while your body subconsciously takes a yoga class on its own —this is Ashi-Thai.
